 The Art Of Living

I found a great book this week that was published in 1960. It is called The Art Of Living and is by Wilferd A. Peterson. Wow, there is a lot of inspiration in this one. Here is a sample:

"The finest gift a man can give to his age and time is the gift of a constructive and creative life." --WAP

"Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny spark of possibility within you into the flame of achievement." --WAP

"To practice the art of reading, develop a hungry, curious, questing mind and then seek your answers in books. You open doors when you open books. Read with a pencil in your hand, underlining the important passages, so you can quickly review the heart of the book. Read something each day." --WAP

"You select the colors of your thoughts; drab or bright, weak or strong, good or bad." --WAP

 Words Are Powerful

Try this. Pick an inspirational quotation. Write it down. Carry it around with you and read it until you memorize it. Then begin to repeat it to yourself through out the day. Think it to yourself as you are in bed trying to go to sleep.

Do this awhile (3 weeks or so) and then ask yourself if you are changing inside. If you are keep up the positive words. If not, give it up. You tried it and positive words didn't help you so forget about them.

But please, don't forget about positive words before you even try them. OK. They might just make your life super good. Give them a try.

 A Military Man Sees Wisdom

"We know more about war than peace today, more about killing than about living. Knowledge of science outstrips capacity for control. We have too many men of science but too few men of God. Our world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants, but ethical infants." --Omar Bradley, 1999

 Favorite Or Life Changing Quotation?

Do you have a favorite quotation? Is there a quote that has made a real impact on your life? I would love to read it.

Please post your quote as a comment on this post. Thank you very much.
